Harsh words spoken.
Eyes ablaze.
Bodies twist away from one another in anger.
Long strides to get away before more verbal damage done.
Much later
There is a sense of disbelief.
Voices hushed.
Few words said
Eyes teary.
Bodies clinging to one another in comfort.
Hands clutching for whatever hope is on offer.
