Loving What I Do

I love what I do.

I thrive on putting people through the paces and stressing them as I do so.

There is something about shifting their goal posts and moving them out of their comfort zones.

Simple games become tools for training.

Normal activities are exaggerated for illustration purposes.

True personalities are revealed and new responses are elicited.

You will never be the same again after a session with me (cue : wicked laugh)

Cold Feet

It's interesting to post about cold feet after a post about boldness.

But that's where it is right now.

Cold feet about doing an upcoming DiSC series.

And that's because the "C" rises up, wanting to do things just right, but not feeling prepared enough.

Pushy

Somewhere sometime in every one's life, you will surely come across such.

Perhaps you are such a one yourself?

Who do I mean?

The insistent ones. The ones that think they are right - always.

The in-your-face ones.

The type who step on most toes and don't care.

How do you deal with such high D?

Well, at the very least, you would have to "kick up" your own D and speak in terms and phrases that is understood by the D!

Meet Derek

When you feel you are stuck in a rut, what do you do?

What if you think there are only limited choices in life?

I like this guy and the stuff he comes up with. Here's his opening paragraph:-

Lately I've been helping a lot of friends with decisions. The common theme I've found is that they thought they had only two options.

That's not a decision. That's a self-created dilemma! The way out is to realize there are always more than two options!

Have I piqued your interest? Go check him out. A D for sure. With some C.

Catastrophe

The title of the article said it was "A Catastrophe for the Apostrophe". Why, some of us might not even know what an apostrophe is! For the benefit of those amongst us who slept through our English classes, this is what the apostrophe looks like!

The guidelines for using this tiny little part of the English language seemed simple enough for some. We are told that the "apostrophe has two functions. It indicates both the possessive case and contractions." (Visit here for a guide) In other words, when I write "It's (contraction for 'it is') John's (possessive) choice to write like that" I have used the apostrophe correctly.

However, for a lot of people, this is seems to be a problem. So much of a problem in fact, that they have even formed a group called Kill the Apostrophe.
Makes you wonder what this tiny little tadpole-like mark has ever done to them...

Keeping Busy

2007 has seen my work somewhat slow down due to other temporary commitments. 2008 is going to be a busy year though. I have already done a few trainings, with a few more already lined up. Stay tuned for more pictures and photos and reports.....

Put on Hold

I have put my work on hold for a while. My apologies if you have come by to visit and not found much updates.

If you would like to stay in touch with my happenings, please log on to The Hinge. This is my other more personal site.

Once there, you will find out that I have been doing training of another sort - helping people to discover a one-off project to be held in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia simultaneously.
Once that is over, I will resume what I have been doing.... which won't be till March 2008 at least!
