Have you ever talked with someone and knew that the person wasn't listening?
How about talking with someone and seeing his/her attention wander?
Ever talked with someone and get interrupted before you finished?
Sometimes we meet people who don't like to listen. Sometimes it's because they have issues deep inside. But sometimes it's because they are high "D"s and high "I"s.
These folk are often in a hurry. Listening doesn't often appeal because one had to be patient and focused to be a good listener. The "D" wants to get on with a project or task. He/she wants to make sure that it is completed. Listening? The "D" will want to move the conversation, and the speaker, on to the finish quickly.
The "I", on the other hand, prefers to be the one talking. Hence this personality too, would be a poor listener.
The best listeners are "S" people. They make good friends for that reason. They are patient and very people-orientated.
Do you have "S" people for friends? That's good. Don't take advantage of them.
Are you an "S" personality yourself? Blessed are your friends and may you never be hurt by them.
